$5 of every CoatHook sold from this page goes to Animal Fix Clinic, which promotes and practices TNR (Trap, Neuter, and Return) to humanely reduce and control the outdoor cat population in San Francisco’s East Bay.

Founded in 1998, Animal Fix Clinic has fixed over 18,000 cats while opening the minds and hearts of East Bay residents to the plight of feral cats and providing a means to prevent the suffering of unwanted kittens.

TNR is the key to humanely controlling free-roaming cat populations, and the availability of low-cost spay/neuter services makes it possible for those who care about and for feral colonies, to ensure that those colonies do not breed more unwanted cats. Over the years, AFC’s work has turned hundreds of feral colonies into healthier non-breeding populations.

And AFC’s services aren’t just for feral cats! Any and all cats — feral and tame — are welcome, and services are very affordable for anyone who wants to prevent the generation of unwanted litters.

AFCrsquo;s state-of-the-art clinics are staffed by veterinary professionals who are supported by teams of caring, knowledgeable volunteers who trap feral cats, assist in pre- and post-op care of the cats, and return the cats to their colonies.

AFC services include not only spaying and neutering but also vaccinations, microchipping, and antibiotics if necessary, and ear tipping for ferals.

About This Product

The CoatHook gathers and removes shedding undercoat fur from cats, dogs, and rabbits without pulling or cutting the outer layers of fur, the way some pet combs do.

The CoatHook’s long tines reach through the outer layer of fur, and the small hooks at the ends of the tines gently but very effectively gather and remove downy shedding undercoat fur.

A series of graduated hooks along the top of the tines can be used to gently tease out tangled fur.

The CoatHook works really well on dogs that have coats that shed, such as Labs, Collies, Shepherds, and mixed breeds, as well as medium-long to long-haired cats.
